Lips are an extremely popular area to have cosmetically treated, but also prove one of the most anxiety-provoking. We have all seen people with bad lip filler – having had either too much or an unnatural shape, or both. The difference between achieving a natural or an unnatural result is down to the expertise of the injector. At Story we specialise in filler treatments, our practitioners are very highly trained and use their expertise to train others.
Our Expertise
There is huge variation in lip size and shape between individuals and in this area more than any other, a bespoke approach is essential. This is achieved at Story by selecting different techniques, different filler types and different technical instruments (needle or cannula) according to the individual case. Here are our five most commonly performed lip treatment techniques:
Two Point Lip Volume
If you want plumper fuller lips and do not have significant ageing changes, then our Two Point Lip Volume technique is the best option for you. A cannula is used (a blunt tube) to dramatically reduce swelling and bruising risk, with only two small needle entry points required. We use a long lasting volumising filler for this treatment such as Juvederm Volift.
Lip Restoration
If your lips have changed with age, becoming lined, dryer or turned inwards, then a lip restoration treatment will create a more youthful appearance without making them look bigger. We use a soft extremely moldable filler such as Juvederm® Volbella to restructure the lips and add hydration. Fine lines can also be reduced significantly – this treatment goes beyond the lips to target the whole mouth area.
Lip Corner Lift
If your mouth has a slightly sad resting appearance due to downturned corners then a lip corner lift can make all the difference. Filler is used to support the mouth corners and reduce the shadows at either side of the mouth.
Lip Balance
You may be concerned that you have asymmetrical or unbalanced lips either naturally or due to prior lip filler. In this treatment we examine your lip shape and facial proportions and taking your ethnicity into account, can determine the best upper/lower lip balance ratio for you as well as improving any left/right asymmetry.
Lip Correction
If you have had a treatment elsewhere that you are not happy with, please do come and see us for a correction consultation. Most lip filler used in the UK is dissolvable and we have a lot of experience using the dissolving agent (Hyalase®) to correct filler treatments.
